Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini are back to host “CMA Fest” special August 4 on ABC
ABC/CMAThomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini are returning to host ABC’s annual CMA Fest special together for the third year in a row this summer. The annual three-hour musical extravaganza will air Sunday, August 4 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
The special will be recorded this Thursday through Sunday at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, as thousands of fans converge on Music City for the gathering originally known as Fan Fair.
Ultimately, TV viewers will experience more than 30 performances and surprise collaborations, including Kelsea’s set on Thursday, and TR’s on Friday.
This is the sixteenth consecutive year the special has aired on ABC. Last year, it was ABC’s top-rated non-sports offering of the summer.
This is Kelsea’s third year hosting the special, and Thomas Rhett’s fourth. The first year TR did the show, Brett Eldredge was his co-host.
